Ubuntu Server by default does not take 100% of the allocated disk space as /
disk. This can become an issue when the /
is used up completely.
The command below sets the use for the disk to be 100%.
sudo lvextend -l +100%FREE /dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-ubuntu--lv
Extending logical volume ubuntu--vg-ubuntu--lv to 30.77 GiB
Logical volume ubuntu--vg-ubuntu--lv successfully resized
To apply the change to the actual disk in use, use resize2fs
.
sudo resize2fs /dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-ubuntu--lv
